do what makes you happy

i'm currently in the second year of my Doctorate in Spiritual Science with PTS (peace theological seminary and college of philosophy). there are two 'practical treatis' (thesis) ideas i'm playing with - and another that is evolving.

the first one, that i will refer to as pt1 is about sharing. about giving of myself, about sharing myself, my Light, my life, my truth, my joy. sometimes i refer to this as 's.m.y.l' - sharing my light.

the second, pt2 is about getting my love, joy, strength, peace directly from Spirit. actually its about getting everything from Spirit - and i use a terminology that i found reading the book 'The Fountainhead' by Ayn Rice to describe this process. 2nd handing is the term used - and it means getting your love, recognition, approval, etc from other people. i've developed and broadened this idea to mean getting your love, what you need, your peace, approval, okness from anything outside of yourself - from anything that isn't from the divine connection we have within - which is our connection with Spirit. so i call 1st handing when we are in connection with ourselves and living in alignment - getting our guidance and filling ourselves up from the source that is the true source, and 2nd handing when we are trying to fill ourselves up from anything else - can be from other people, can be from food, from addictions, from situations, behaviour, whatever really.

and the third that's only recently begun evolving, pt3, is from a simple statement from Dr. John-Roger - 'Grace is loving God'.

essentially my work is revolving around finding and discovering those things in life that make us happy and then create our lives such that we get to do them. i am grateful to have the experience of being addicted to a corporate career and the money, status and recognition that that gave me, and the experience of letting that go and moving towards doing things that made me happier and more able to give me a daily experience of fulfilment, loving, peace, joy.

i think everyone at one time or another has asked - but what am i 'supposed' to be doing here this life? what is it that makes me happy? am i on track and am i making the most out of this thing called life on Earth?

and i have no answers to any of those questions, i just have my own adventure that is the accumulation of my time and actions as i check out different ideas and possibilities.

i take great counsel from serendipity - eg. from coincidental meetings with people - and particularly multiple coincidental occurrences.

anyway, that's my first blog. just wanted to set the scene really, and from here just randomly blog about my adventures and insights in my walk towards what makes me happy.
